Education & Qualifications
Robert Lazar was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 19th September 1980.
A graduate of the London School of Economics, he obtained a Second Class Upper honours degree in Law in 1978. In 1979, he was called to the Bar of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.
Professional Background
Robert appears in trial courts, and at the Malaysian Court of Appeal and the Federal Court regularly.
He has appeared in a constitutional tribunal in 1988 and was lead counsel for the Malaysian Bar in a Royal Commission of Enquiry in 2008.
Robert undertakes counsel’s work only at trial and appellate levels and in commercial arbitration.
He also sits as an arbitrator in commercial disputes and is on the panel of arbitrators of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC).
